About Be Heard

who we are | who we work with

For us, marketing and public relations isn’t a skill – it’s a passion.

We evolved beyond the brick and mortar office, embracing our independence to indulge in our ideas and provide a fresh alternative – personal ethos with big agency results.

Brandye Billeter

Brandye Billeter is respected as a public relations generalist whose big ideas, natural instincts for counseling and strategic planning garner significant outcomes for her clients and her crew.

With 25 years experience, Brandye is a true strategist who thinks through every opportunity and challenge to maximize resources and exceed expectations. Her creativity is an asset in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. And most importantly, she understands that PR isn’t just about generating news coverage, but rather, about driving a client’s business. She truly lives the idea that HER success is YOUR success.

Prior to founding Be Heard Public Relations, Brandye spent eight years in the public relations divisions of two major Phoenix advertising agencies. Her work has earned multiple international, regional and state awards from the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America.

When not creating campaigns, Brandye shares her talents with the not-for-profit community with a special emphasis on youth development and cancer awareness.

Brandye earned her bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. She shares her life with her husband Kyle, son Nolan (age 19) and daughter Marlee (age 17), two talkative cats and a high-maintenance chihuahua named Lola – who operates as her official home office mascot.

Molly Costa

Molly Costa has a knack for listening and then coming up with solutions that fit clients’ needs by using a combination of creativity and sensibility.

With 20 years experience, Molly honed her abilities working for a well-known consumer brand in Arizona. In this role, she worked with several talented marketing-related agencies and gained experience in employee communications, public relations, event planning and brand management. Her background and her constant observation of industry trends and research provide added value and strategic insight to client communications and programs.

A Midwest girl who stands behind the “Is this heaven? No, it’s Iowa,” quote from the movie, Field of Dreams, Molly graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and has resided in Arizona for nearly 10 years.

She is the proud mother of four beautiful daughters – Keira (age 13), Hayley (age 11), Caitlyn (age 9) and Quinn (age 6) and as her husband lovingly says, is enjoying “this crazy experiment” called parenting alongside their first “kids” of the fetching variety, Kip, Waylon and River.

Heather Gearhart

Heather Gearhart is known for her abilities as a writer, and her flair for balancing grassroots and internal communications with external efforts. She’s also known for being ridiculously particular about grammar, document formatting and AP Style (pssst…she’s a nerd).

In her 24 years of experience, Heather has worked at big agencies, served as the in-house PR manager for a major destination and balanced work for Be Heard Public Relations with a teaching role at Northern Arizona University’s School of Communication.

Born and raised in Arizona, Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Northern Arizona University. She enjoys her days alongside her husband Ryan, son Austen, daughter Carolyn, and goofball goldendoodles Colter and Pearl.
